decorative paintings for private residence, Happy Valley. Design by Garouste
& Bonetti. Hong Kong, 1995.
I was first contacted by the well known french designers Garouste &
Bonetti to paint canvas set for the scenography of a Cartier Foundation of
Contemporary Art's traveling exhibition untitled "really false"
(vraiment faux) which took place in Munich and Milano in 1991. In 1995 Garouste
& Bonetti were commissioned by a wealthy Hong Kong client to do the interior
decoration of his private house. All furnitures were tailor made and I was
asked to execute decorative paintings following G&B designs in various
locations such as living-room and bedrooms. Gold and silver leaves were extensively
used. The project was published in numerous magazines including Nest, US Vogue,
or Elle Decoration.
